Consistancy Counts!!

posted by erica September 1st, 2010

A great way to healthy beautiful hair is easier than you may think. Two inches of new growth of any sort, is due for a retouch. Often I work with women that have excessive new growth(both color and texture) that creates a more expensive and extensive  visit. “How do I avoid that ?”, you may be asking. By pre -booking your appointments and staying with a consistent regime, your hair(and pocket book) will be used to what we do to your hair. Relaxers and other texture chemicals, need a very steady and consistent time and application process. With gaps or overlapped areas of chemical down the strand of hair, you can expect breakage or/and very brittle hair. So book an appointment, and upon leaving  pre -book your next one so you can budget and know what to expect from your hair. You will receive 15 % off when you pre- book 3 or more weeks in advanced, as well. Your hair will thank you, trust me!!

Fabulous Texas Summer Hair

posted by erica June 11th, 2010

Living in Texas can be trying on your hair. It’s important to take heed to the warning signs of your hair being exhausted. Simple things, such as , increasing the intensity of your conditioner to a more penetrating moisture level and lowering the water temperature to cool while rinsing out the conditioner , will help strengthen your locks against the extreme Texas sun. It is very important to stay more current on your maintenance trims during the hot months to prevent dead ends from splitting up your hair shaft further. More frequent trims are needed because our hair grows up to 30% faster during the hotter months, so consider coming in 2-3 weeks sooner than usual or take a little more off the length to get you by longer in between appointments. Utilize the summer to your hair’s advantage and let that beautiful hair down to show off your layers and color, with the right style and confident styling techniques, you’ll be the envy of your summer gatherings!

It’s a beautiful day for some color

Are  you bored/tired of your non dimentional  haircolor ? Need to add some shine and bounce back to your hair? Sun soaking all the brightness out of your hair? Is your blonde turning brassy? If  you answered yes to any of these questions, then you can use some color to help enhance or change your looks for the fall. We can be as subtle as adding a  clear  gloss for shine and moisture, or vamp it up and do a complete makeover with darker fall color. You be the judge, I’ll be the stylist!
